On December 28, 2008, our beloved Kimberly was suddenly called to God after sustaining a brain aneurysm at home.
Kim was born in Portland on March 1, 1976, attended Portland schools and graduated from Deering High School in 1994, as her class Salutatorian and Deering's female nominee for the Maine Sports Hall of Fame Scholar/Athlete.
Kim continued her education at the University of New England, where she earned her CNA Certificate in 1995 and earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Sports & Fitness Management, graduating Cum Laude in 1998.
Upon graduation, Kim was hired by Verizon Customer Service, in Portland, were she progressed from a Sales and Service Representative into special project and training details. She transitioned from a Support and Sales Supervisor to a Manager of Training position with Fairpoint, after the sale of Verizon.
Kim continued her athletic pursuits post-college by playing softball for the Coastal Athletics Women's Softball Team. She played for her coach and mentor Art Piteau for fourteen years and participated in many state championships, out-of-state tourneys and 5 national tournaments.
Kim loved to run Baxter Boulevard in Portland with her dog, Bella, and participated in many charity run/walks and other fundraising events as well.
